it's much brighter in our garden today

The now infamous tree looked like this in August

Like this after an hour of work

and like this by lunchtime.

its days are numbered

The mammoth tree finally comes down this week, and we will have light. We're cutting it down to the trunk, so it will still be alive, just not wrecking ours and next door's gardens! I'm going to try to take photos of the process on Wednesday.

our new additions

After many months of waiting....

...Shrek and Fiona came home. We also have Pinky Pie, Treasure, Valentine and Star, but they're not so easy to photograph.

Princess Fiona:
and Shrek (not the brightest fish in the tank, I must say!):
Thankfully they seem to be happy and healthy in their new home.

where did the month go?

It feels like January just flew by and like we didn't do a whole lot, but I guess that's what Januarys are like in general. We had a nice weekend with the Ingles and I had a lovely day at the scrapbooking retreat organised by Sam. But that's really been it, apart from more decorating and quite a lot of gym sessions and slimming world! Again.

I've been very busy crafting this month, here are a few more layouts.
